Legacy ERP is software that people babysit: keying invoices, matching receipts, chasing reconciliations across a hundred screens. SynergyERP flips it — a rock-solid ledger (the master record of every dollar) at the core, with AI doing the routine work and humans approving only the exceptions.

The failure mode of "AI + accounting" is letting the AI write directly to the books. SynergyERP never does. The ledger itself is strict and boring on purpose — and that's exactly what makes the AI safe.
Every piece of AI work — and every human entry — goes in as a proposal first, and you set the dial per workflow: suggest-only, auto-approve under a dollar threshold, or fully automatic. Every proposal passes the same checks as a hand-keyed entry, so a bad one fails safely instead of ever corrupting the books.
Five AI workflows already run this way in development: supplier-invoice intake (the document is read, checked, and turned into a balanced entry), bank reconciliation (exact matches handled automatically, the ambiguous leftovers sorted or escalated), freight load-offer triage, fuel-card categorization, and expense-receipt intake. Anything the AI isn't confident about waits for a human — nothing is posted on a guess.

A real accounting engine, not a demo
v1 is the ledger core — the master record of every dollar (the general ledger) — and it already carries a full accounting cycle plus the operations modules that make it an ERP rather than a bookkeeping app.

Every dollar recorded twice — where it came from and where it went — so the books always balance. Receivables, payables, financial statements that add up, a proper year-end close, and closed months that stay closed.
📦Operational breadth
Inventory with real cost tracking, sales and purchase orders checked against what was actually ordered, received, and billed, production planning, payroll with tax withholding, multiple currencies, a real tax engine, and subscription billing with revenue counted when it's earned.
🏭Industry packs
New industries are a setup choice, not a rewrite: ready-made account templates and workflow packs for retail, services, manufacturing, and a deep trucking/3PL pack — all on the same core.

SynergyERP runs on SynergyDB, the platform's own universal database — and an ERP is the toughest customer a database can have: books that must always balance, heavy simultaneous activity, big reporting queries, and surviving a sudden power cut without losing a cent. The ERP tests all of it before a single ledger entry is trusted.
That pressure has already paid off both ways. Building the ERP uncovered and drove fixes for several serious database bugs — making the database stronger for every other product on the platform.
Status: building
The engine, the approval system, the financial statements, and the AI workflows all run end-to-end in development, with a full Odoo-style web interface on top. The road to product: supporting many companies side by side, production packaging, and proving the autonomy dial on real company volume.
